Beverage Service Guidelines
To insure the welfare of your guests, and due to the sensitivity of liquor liability, Laketown Golf & Conference Center reserves the right to refuse bar service, when in management’s opinion it appears that an unmanageable situation may arise. Laketown Golf & Conference Center will be happy to call a taxi on behalf of anyone who feels it is necessary.
ALL alcohol that is consumed at Laketown Golf & Conference Center must be sold by Laketown Golf & Conference Center. Any outside alcohol brought in will be confiscated and will become property of Laketown and will not be allowed to be consumed on Laketown Golf & Conference Center premises, this includes the parking lot as well.
If a problem arises, we reserve the right to refuse entry or service to those who violate our guidelines/rules. We cannot allow drinks that are consumed in a limousine, bus, trolley or any other specialty transportation to be brought onto our property, parking lots or our building(s), even if it is left in a cooler outside. It is unacceptable, and if anyone refuses to forfeit their prohibited beverages, the proper authorities will be contacted.
All guests should expect to show proper identification if ordering an alcoholic beverage from any bartender within Laketown Golf & Conference Center .The bartenders cannot serve anyone who does not have proper/valid identification. The guests must carry their identification with them before they will be served. No exceptions! If underage guests are found drinking alcoholic beverages, they will be escorted off the premises, along with anyone who is supplying them with the alcoholic beverages. Laketown Golf & Conference Center takes these laws seriously, and we expect that guests of Laketown will too.
All bar service must end at 11:00 p.m. or earlier, per contract or venue (i.e., The Courtyard venue). There will be no annoucment of "last call" for beverage service at LGCC. If you choose to close your bar during dinner, only wedding/bridal party guests (head table) may still be served, but your other guests will not be. Anyone who serves themselves and/or others while the bar is closed during dinner will be escorted off the premises. Guests are not allowed in Laketown Golf & Conference Center dining facilities without prior permission and agreement worked out between Laketown Golf & Conference Center.
We do not allow shots of liquor and we do not allow pitchers of beer to be served at receptions.
Guests who become over-intoxicated will be refused service of all alcoholic beverages from the point that they are determined to have consumed too much. This decision will be made in part by the bartenders and manager/supervisor on duty. Anyone who does not cooperate with this will be removed from the premises.
We do not allow drinks on the dance floor because it compromises the safety of you and your guests. We ask for your cooperation on this as we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. If an excessive amount of glasses are broken by your guests, there will be an additional fee charged.
All bar service arrangements must be finalized no later than, two weeks prior to your event to provide sufficient time for ordering, and special orders. Arrangements may not be changed the night of the event.
If your event requires specialty glassware that Laketown Golf & Conference Center does not have on hand, you will be charged an additional rental fee. If you would like to purchase specialty liquor and/or mixers for your event that we do not regularly carry, we will check on availability and pricing. You will be required to purchase the item(s) by the bottle only.
During the summer months, you may choose to offer bar service out on the patio, or the Courtyard area only, for your guests. Laketown Golf & Conference Center reserves the right to not offer this service due to weather conditions and/or attendance. All drinks that are served from the bar outside, will be served in plastic glassware for safety purposes.
You will be required to sign a bar contract with Laketown Golf & Conference Center, stating that you understand these policies and are liable for you and your guests behavior.
All costs are included in the bottle price (bartenders, mixers, glassware, ice, linens, etc.).
Must be 21 years of age to be served.
All prices inlcude sales tax and 20% gratuity unless otherwise denoted.
